Neonatal Herpes
Neonatal herpes in babies is caused by genital herpes in mothers during delivery; so every pregnant women should have a colposcopy exam to make sure she doesn't have condyloma.
The infection is usually transmitted from the mother during an outbreak in the third trimester or during the labor. Pregnant women who happen to have an outbreak of genital HSV run the risk of infecting the baby, which can be rather dangerous.
