Genital Warts Herpes
Of the STD viruses, genital warts, herpes, and AIDs, genital warts are the only disease that is treatable with the leep procedure and colposcopy.
The risk is highest when a woman contracts the virus for the first time late in pregnancy. So, if you have been infected with virus and are pregnant you need to treat the disease as soon as possible. If you have symptoms at the time of delivery, the baby can usually be protected from infection by a cesarean delivery (c-section).
