Genital Herpes Cure
There is currently no genital herpes cure, but other viruses like HPV have preventative tests such as the Pap smear to find cervical dysplasia.
Breakthroughs in research reveal promising results in the areas of viral target disrupters (genes and enzymes for viral survival) or vaccines (taken from proteins on the HSV cell surface, peptides or chains of amino acids, and the virus DNA) and topical microbicides (preventive microbe-killer ointments inserted prior to intercourse.)
