Cause Genital Herpes

HSV-2 (simplex 2 virus) generates this condition however HSV-1 (simplex 1) rarely can manifest this site as evidenced by lesions, pustules, vesicles, dyuria, or vaginal discharge. The virus is most commonly transmitted through sex when direct contact with an infected lesion or area where viral shedding is present.
